Don has been fly fishing since age 11 when a friend's father put a fly rod in his hand and his love for the sport only gets stronger every passing year. Don has fished all across the US and takes the fly from tiny mountain streams to rivers to large bodies of water for all species, with a particular interest in chasing trophy smallmouth b
Don has been fly fishing since age 11 when a friend's father put a fly rod in his hand and his love for the sport only gets stronger every passing year. Don has fished all across the US and takes the fly from tiny mountain streams to rivers to large bodies of water for all species, with a particular interest in chasing trophy smallmouth bass. 10 years ago Don began teaching fly fishing to individuals and groups as well as guiding and found his true passion, introducing others to the world of fly fishing. He now actively teaches in person as well as YouTube, and engages in film projects to draw others towards the Fly Life.

Our team at DownStreamFly has over 35 years of experience in fly fishing, chasing multiple species of fish around the country as well as teaching many the art and skill of fly casting, and imparting the true love and passion of the sport. There is nothing we enjoy more than introducing people to the lifelong pleasure of fly fishing and helping them pursue their dreams of tight lines.
